Do I need to be a college athlete to join?

Absolutely not! If you have the passion for sports and can teach it to children, you’re the perfect fit.

How often will I get paid?

Every two weeks, we’ll make sure your hard work is rewarded, right on schedule.

What are the Team dynamics?

Teams are small and close-knit, with 3-4 members, fostering deep bonds and effective ministry.

What is the commitment period for a summer coach with Sports Crusaders?

We offer flexible commitment periods, either 5 or 10 weeks during the summer. This includes 4 or 8 weeks of camp with a week off during July 4th, coupled with 1 week of intensive leadership and sports ministry training.

How long are camps?

Sports Crusaders camps run Monday through Friday. The sessions usually run 2 ½ hrs a day; however, this may very at different locations.

How does Sports Crusaders support its coaches?

Coaches receive a competitive salary, with team members earning $1800 for 9 weeks ($200/week) and team leaders $250/week. Additionally, lodging and meals are provided during the week, along with some reimbursement for travel expenses.

Can I participate in Sports Crusaders if I'm from out of state?

Absolutely! For participants from other states, we arrange for host families to accommodate you during weekends. You’ll typically move to the next camp location on Sunday afternoons.

How are travel arrangements handled for camps?

Coaches are generally expected to drive their own vehicles to and from camps or rendezvous points. Mileage is reimbursed to help cover travel expenses. Whenever possible, we encourage carpooling to be more budget-friendly.
